I don't really put too much gravity on them (nor things like social media likes or any kind of "imaginary internet points") personally, but voting and post/comment scores are still there as a core and distinguishing feature of this forum, and it still irks me to see them misused as a Disagree button to take a cheap shot at an opponent without adding any insight, or to make an idea or position you dislike seem less credible without having to present any reasoning or evidence. ![]() To be fair, your comment said "melting" and to MELT either typical TPU or PLA for a melt processing application the temperature required would be similar, although polymers usually don't have sharp melting points and so a HDT will be much lower than a required melt temperature to extrude/print, weld or mold. what would be equivalent to the HDT for a rigid material are starting at 80-100C and going up. Their temperature change will be completely negligible, even under heavy abuse.Īlso, what I'm finding for typical TPU service temperature limits i.e. The brushes are on the edge very far away from the gearbox (heat source) and getting blasted with high speed airflow that comes from outside/ambient.
